Gulu is called a ‘City’ but in the Social, Entertainment, in Sports fields still lacks a lot as a City, for instance finding a Golf club in the City is another hurdle but common to this, is the Bikers and Riders Club which are not visible.
This doesn’t rule out known Bike lovers in the City like Prof. Openjuru, George Ladaah, the Vice-Chancellor of Gulu University, Omara Moses, the Legal Officer of Gulu University, Opoka Francis, the founder and owner of the famous Mukungu-Caro Joint along Acholi Road in Pece-Laroo Division. These known Bike lovers are seen riding within the City but they have never grouped to do the Bike ritual challenge or circus as the ones in the movie.
But the Central Riders Association of Bikers in Kampala decided to make their Regional annual tour debut in Gulu from November 25th to 26th 2023 showing Gulu People all they had not known about biking with a serious Circus and Bikers Ritual on the evening of 25th along Acholi Road and were hosted by Opoka Francis aka Mukungu-Caro. The Bikers also stormed Aruu Falls in Pader in the spirit of promoting tourism in the Region.
The Bikers who last year were in Mbale, also raided Gulu University’s Main campus making all the students who were reading for the end of Semesters Examinations and those who were doing choir practices all move out to have a glimpse of the Bikers who later in the evening of Saturday had a fun Football Match with a select team of Gulu University.
The Fun match played almost at night ended with a 2-2 draw but the stubborn Bikers who said in all their tours they beat People, decided to get into a penalty shootout, the result was still 3-3, ending the game when Goal Keepers of both teams needed a Cat’s eye and the dog’s sense to continue seeing and getting the balls.
The Elephant Caught up with Stephen Kaye, the Vice-President of the Central Riders Association, who spoke about their visits and the Game at Gulu University.

The Central Riders Association on Sunday ended their tour in Gulu by donating food items, Shoes, and Clothes to Disabled Persons in Gulu through their offices in Pece and later regrouped along Kampala highway Riding with the hope of returning to Gulu where they found so much love in the City!
