Gulu City community has called upon President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta as the appointing authority to consider elevating Peter Banya the Deputy Resident City Commissioner in charge of the Laroo-Pece Division to a full City Resident Commissioner based on his hard work
This call was made to Gen. Charles Otema Awany, the Commander of the UPDF Reserve Forces by the LC1s and LC11s including other community members during his wealth creation tour in Laroo-Pece Division on Tuesday,18th February 2025.
“He is a material of full RCC because he has been working with everybody and not undermining any leader despite his or her political affiliation regarding service delivery. Such people should be in charge of supporting unity and strategic mobilization on security and wealth creation”. Denis Nono the FDC chief whip of Laroo-Pece Division in Gulu City roared direct to Gen.Charles Otema Awany who was for a wealth creation community meeting in Laliya-ward.
This got an outstanding ovation from the members of the public who testified that Peter Banya has been working around the clock solving the Aguu or street gang security challenges in Gulu City and mobilizing all the local councilors with checks in all parishes on the progress and development of Parish Development Funds.
Gen. Otema promised the public that he would engage the appointing authority on the matter since it has become a serious public concern.
